Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), in collaboration with the United Nations – African Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education-English (UN-ARCSSTE-E), is now accepting applications for the 2024/2025 session. Eligibility Criteria:

Graduate Requirement:
Applicants must possess at least a Second Class Lower degree in any discipline, preferably in the sciences, from a recognized university. -
NYSC Status:
Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or possession of an exemption certificate is mandatory. -
HND Holders:
Candidates with an HND (Upper Credit) in a relevant Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programme may also be considered for admission.

Graduation Requirements
To qualify for graduation, students must:
- Score at least 50% in coursework and the M.Tech thesis project as per FUTA postgraduate regulations.
- Complete the required course units:
- 44 units for Satellite Communication and Basic Space Physics
- 42 units for Satellite Meteorology
- 48 units for Remote Sensing and GIS
- Present two thesis seminars (proposal and final).
- Complete and defend a research thesis through an oral examination.

Fees and Payment Plan
- Admission Acceptance Fee: ₦25,000
- Tuition Fee: ₦350,000
- Payment Plan:
- At least 60% of tuition must be paid before lectures begin.
- The balance should be paid before the end of the first semester.
