Key Responsibilities:
• Review insurance applications to ensure compliance and adherence to company guidelines. • Assess clients’ background information and financial status to determine eligibility. • Liaise with specialists to gather additional insights and opinions. • Evaluate risk exposures and develop alternative underwriting options. • Draft competitive insurance premium quotes. • Negotiate policy terms with brokers or policyholders. • Maintain detailed records of underwriting decisions and policies. • Achieve balance in risk profiles to ensure future profitability. • Develop a profitable book of business for the company. • Comply with insurance laws and regulations.
Skill Requirements:
- Strong business acumen
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel
- Proven numeracy and statistical skills
- Comprehensive understanding of risk management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Qualifications:
- B.Sc / HND in a related field
- Must be 26 years old or younger
- At least 1 year of experience in underwriting or a similar role
- Proficiency in the insurance field and strong organizational skills
