YSU Postgraduate Admission Requirements

General O’Level Requirements

To be eligible for any postgraduate programme at YSU, candidates must have:

• Five credit passes, including English and Mathematics
• Three other relevant subjects related to the chosen field

Master’s Degree Requirements

• A Second Class Lower (minimum) in a related field with a CGPA of at least 2.5/5.0
• A Third Class degree holder must have a PGD with a Lower Credit CGPA of 2.5/5.0
• The awarding university must be recognized by YSU Senate

Ph.D. Degree Requirements

• A Master’s degree in a related field with a minimum ‘B’ grade (60%)
• A Second Class Lower Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
